claudia guidolin

My name is Claudia Guidolin, and my art is my refuge. I paint to survive, to breathe to stay in touch with the most authentic part of myself.

I’m an instinctive, spontaneous artist, unconventional and outside the box.

I don’t always start with a clear idea, I let my hands, emotions and inner self guide me.

The creative process is the most fulfilling part for me, regardless of the outcome. It’s where I find balance, freedom, and peace. The artwork is the sum of my creative moments.

I experience the world with hyper-sensitivity. That’s why I often chose solitude, within which I discovered an invisible world, all my own, made of colours, flowers, faces, the sea, memories, pain, joy and small fragments of beauty that I collect and transform into images.

I’ve lived in Milan, London, and New York. Visited art galleries and met established artists. Despite these experiences influencing me, I have never felt part of that system. I feel more at ease next to a child than an art critic. With children I share pure spontaneity, the kind that does not need explanation.

Each of my works is an emotional journey, a moment of connection with myself and if I’m lucky with those who look, with those who manage to feel beyond the image, with those who read with their heart. I follow my natural aesthetic taste, independent of academic studies.

I let the painting flow, allowing my subconscious to express itself, and my gaze on the world to become vision. If you’ve also felt out of place, if you’ve searched for beauty in the cracks, if you’re a free, authentic, and sensitive person…then maybe among my work you’ll find a vision that’s also yours.
